Itinerary:

“The mountains are calling and I must go.” John Muir

If you’re eager for a midweek escapade that combines both enjoyment and picturesque views, consider participating in our 10-mile hike from Amicalola Falls to the Hike Inn. This journey promises an array of delightful sights, from the majestic waterfall to the serene forest, and potentially, some local fauna.

This hike is for fun-loving people and those who enjoy being around others. Some of us like to make jokes, tell stories, and have a good laugh. If you're easily offended or prefer a quiet walk in the park, this hike is probably not for you. You've been warned!

The assembly point is the parking area at the summit of Amicalola Falls, with a scheduled meet-up time of 8:55 AM. Punctuality is key, as we wouldn’t want to proceed without you! Upon gathering, we’ll engage in brief introductions before embarking on our trek. The trail to the Len Foote Hike Inn is classified as moderate, so it’s advisable to come equipped with water, snacks, and footwear designed for comfort.

Upon reaching the Hike Inn, we’ll allocate time for a respite. This interval affords you the opportunity to investigate the inn, unwind on its porch, or indulge in conversations with fellow trekkers. Subsequent to our interlude, we’ll retrace our steps along the same path back to the parking lot.

- Notes -
It costs $5 per car to get into the park, unless you have a state park pass.

itinerary may change before or during event depending on weather, trail conditions, or other factors. We'll keep you updated if anything changes before or during the hike.

Event finishing time can fluctuate and dependent on the group hiking speed and other circumstances, so please be flexible..

There will not be a sweeper on this hike so you will be expected to keep up with the group pace.
